Spillage Village is alive! Just three months after releasing “End of Daze” with Jurdan Bryant and Mereba, the super group has delivered a new record called “Baptize” produced by Hollywood JB, Johnny Venus and Christo.
Similar to their previous offering, “Baptize” has a smooth undertone as each Dreamville artist takes the mic and showcases their talents.
“I’m hirin’?hands, inspirin’ fans/I’m?givin’ out jobs, I’m sketching up?plans/Police, they beat me, we storm the same streets/We storm?the?same?block, won’t stop?’til we free/Ain’t?think it was possible, ’til we accomplished it/Now we accomplices, now we all poppin’ sh*t,” Johnny Venus raps.
“Hit the gas and hit the gas/At the Saks Fifth, with a religious sack to grab gifts/How you get money and act as if poverty’s past tense?/We see bad shit happens, but what happens to bad shit?/You need your ass whipped,” J.I.D adds.
Their latest effort comes from their upcoming Spillage Village album. It was initially rumored to arrive in June, but has been pushed back indefinitely. While we wait for more info on the project, check out “Baptize” above.
