With all the 4th July partying going on. The Clips were still working and signed the versatile big man Spencer Hawes according to ESPN LA.
Signing a big man, especially one who could shoot from the outside, was a priority for the Clippers this offseason, and coach and president of basketball operations Doc Rivers targeted Hawes early.
In fact, the Clippers looked into a deal for Hawes, 26, before the trade deadline this past season.
The Clips were right into getting Hawes. With a guy that can stretch the floor, Blake and Jordan will have more breathing room to do their thing inside the paint.
