Soulja Boy has been sentenced to 240 days in jail for violating probation.
In addition to 240 days behind bars, the rapper has been ordered to serve 265 days of community service, as reported by TMZ.
The rapper, who was sentenced earlier today in court, “will start the sentence right away … and has credit for 40 days served.” His attorney told the judge that he had an “awakening” during his time locked up, but it wasn’t enough to avoid jail time.
The judge told Soulja he was originally going to sentence him two years in state prison but decided not to. He “acknowledged that Soulja’s missed out on business opportunities while behind bars.”
Soulja Boy was arrested earlier this month for failing to complete his community service. He was also arrested back in February when police raided his home and found ammunition. Police raided his home after an ex-girlfriend claimed she was being held and tied up against her will.
