A new voice in R&B. The UK bred artist, Sinead Harnett, was opened by Ilham on her first US
tour, Lessons In Love. Harnett was welcomed with a sold out show on her second to last stop in
Washington, DC. last week. The line wrapped around the corner almost two hours before the doors opened filled with excited fans that traveled from near and far to see Harnett perform.

This is Harnett’s first US tour, but she’s not new to being an artist. With almost a decade in the
industry, Harnett was presented to the masses through Twitter. Chosen from numerous entries
to an open call for a featured artist on Wiley’s “Walk Away” in 2011. With over four EPs including
Rinse, a mixtape, Chapter One, and now her debut studio album, Lessons in Love, Sinead has
gained a cult following with fans traveling nearly 16 hours to see her perform. Singles and
couples alike, sang in tandem while she performed fan favorites like “Unconditional” and “If
You Let Me (ft. GRADES) and “Rather Be With You’. The vibe in a sold out U Street Music Hall
was electric as Sinead created a sonic, all encompassing sound a skill donned on seasoned
artists like Jhene Aiko.

On stage and off stage, Sinead Harnett’s light was contagious as she met with fans after her
show. She sat with each of them overly grateful for their attendance and listening to their stories
about how her music helped them through tough times in their lives. One fan even stated, “I feel
like we’re living in parallel dimensions” as she talked about how Harnett’s music was right on
time for what was going on in her life. No one left unsatisfied as this R&B artist left everything on
the stage.
