Nearly a year ago, Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak came together to announce that they had formed a super group called Silk Sonic. With the announcement, the duo announced that they were working on an album with Bootsy Collins and preparing to release a single. From that, fans got to enjoy “Leave the Door Open” and “Skate” shortly thereafter. Not to mention, there was a GRAMMY performance thrown in there as well. Now, it appears that the duo is ready to release the full-length project.
With the release of An Evening Of Silk Sonic on the horizon, Silk Sonic has returned to deliver their third single, “Somkin’ Out The Window.” Co-produced by D’Mile, this heartbreak anthem takes on a different tone than the upbeat “Skate” or the smooth “Leave The Door Open.”
“Smokin’ out the window/Singin’ “How could you do this to me?/How could you do this to me?/I thought that girl belonged to only me/But I was wrong/’Cause she belong to everybody, everybody,” Bruno Mars sings.
“Just the other night she was grippin’ on me tight/Screamin’ Hercules/Got me in the club lookin’ for a new love/Someone help me please/Baby, why you doin’ this? Why you doin’ this to me, girl?/Not to sound dramatic, but I wanna die,” Anderson .Paak adds.
