The University of Kentucky has been the starting point of many great NBA players careers. Head Coach John Calipari has been fully supportive of players taking that next step to be the best. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is one of those players Calipari probably wishes he could get back for the 2018-2019 NCAAB season, but as of now, he can’t.
Kentucky Wildcat’ freshman guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has made his decision to join teammates Kevin Knox, and PJ Washington in making the next step in their career as they have declared for the upcoming 2018 NBA Draft.

Alexander has been a key factor for this Kentucky squad, and his on-court presence will be missed. averaging the most minutes per game with 33.7, the 6’6 guard averaged 14.4 points per game shooting 49 percent from the field and almost 41 percent from behind the arc. He has also been able to snatch 4.1 rebounds per game.
Alexander is projected to be picked as a top 15 pick in this years NBA Draft. His ability to contribute while playing a lot of minutes will really help any NBA team.
