A couple of months ago, the reality that we will see an R-Rated Teen Titans show on TV hit me. Like we’ll actually get to see Robin kick the living crap out of people and see a demonic Raven that we’ve never seen before. On top of all of that, we get to see the superheroes in a light we’ve never seen them before. Usually, in both the comics and the animated series, they are whimsical, funny and relaxed characters but not anymore. This trailer, which releases bright and early at San Diego Comic-Con today, shows us a much darker side to the ‘Titans’.
Now, this show will fall under the DC Universe umbrella which will include comics, shows, and movies from old and new. Particularly, the involvement of a larger DC universe that is being created in that streaming service which will start with shows like Swamp Thing, Harley Quinn, Doom Patrol and ultimately the Titans. There is no release date yet on the streaming service but from what we’ve heard, they’ll be making some big waves later this weekend at Hall-H.
