With Durant’s sudden departure Team USA had to find a replacement fast. And it seems they have found one. Sacramento’s Rudy Gay according to USA Today.
Gay, the Sacramento Kings forward who played for the Americans when they won the gold medal in the 2010 world championship, told USA Basketball managing director Jerry Colangelo he was interested in returning if he and coach Mike Krzyzewski were interested.
Colangelo says Friday in a statement: “We both felt he would be a valuable addition because of his outstanding skills and the fact that he is so familiar with USA Basketball and our national team program.”
Now it’s a battle between Gordon Hayward and Rudy Gay. What a high class match up that is.
Of course he isn’t Durant but he’s a half decent replacement. With that said. Does Durant have to give his promotional Samsung gear back? And does Samsung have to make one for Rudy now?
