Rosario Dawson has had an incredible run over the past two weeks or so. First, reports linked the accomplished actress to possible presidential candidate, Cory Booker. Soon thereafter, Rosario Dawson’s Briarpatch series was picked up by the USA Network. By doing so, Dawson earned her first leading role on a network series. Today, Dawson made another big move when it was revealed that she would have a hand in the upcoming Zombieland sequel.
Produced by Sony Pictures, Dawson will co-star in the Zombieland sequel set to be released this year. Dawson will join Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone and more. The script will be penned by the film’s original writers, Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese. Wernick and Reese will also serve as executive producers alongside Gavin Polone. According to an exclusive report from Deadline, “the sequel centers on the comic mayhem that stretches from the White House and through the heartland.”
The film will begin filming this week and is scheduled to hit theaters on October 11th.
