
Following two efficient scoring outbursts by new Rocket Gerald Green, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports that Houston has plans to guarantee Green’s contract for the rest of the season.
As expected, Rockets plan to guarantee Gerald Green's contract for the season, league sources tell ESPN. Deadline is Sunday. Rockets will waive guard Bobby Brown, sources said. He could return on 10-day deal.

The Rockets had until January 7 to sign Green to a full contract or release him. Although, the Rockets did have the option to sign the 31-year-old to a series of ten-day contracts.
Green last held a training camp spot with the Milwaukee Bucks before being cut before the season started.
To have Green on the roster for the remainder of the season, the Rockets will need roster room. Chris Haynes of ESPN reports that Houston will waive league veteran, Bobby Brown.

Brown spoke about his release afterward saying he understands the business of the NBA.

Green’s first signing was announced on December 28, his first game in a Rockets uniform came on the same night in Boston.
On Wednesday night against the Orlando Magic, green exploded for 27 points off the bench.Green that night drilled seven three-pointers on ten attempts in a blowout Rockets win. The following night when facing the Golden State Warriors, Green put up 29 points 9 of 16 shooting ( 8-15 from three) in a losing effort.
