It’s amazing how powerful a series can be. Three years ago, D Smoke was crowned the winner of Netflix’s Rhythm + Flow. Since then, he’s earned a co-sign from Snoop Dogg, worked with Issa Rae and earned a Grammy nod. With the future of the U.S. show influx, it appears that Netflix is taking Rhythm + Flow overseas and providing a platform to artists overseas. Earlier this week, the streaming giant rolled out the first trailer for Rhythm + Flow: France.
“French-speaking Rap stars Niska (Paris), Shay (Brussels) and SCH (Marseille) seek out new breakout talent in their local towns: This Rap competition show sees aspiring artists explore everything from freestyling to rap battles, making a music video to writing and producing an original track, in pursuit of their dreams,” the trailer’s description reads.
Hip-Hop is a global culture that stretches far beyond the confines of an America map. Next month, the world will have an opportunity to see all the talent that France has to offer. Check out the trailer below before Rhythm + Flow: France debuts on June 9, 2022.
