Report: Mike Dunleavy Interviews For Lakers’ Coaching Job
The Los Angeles Lakers are still in pursuit of a new head coach, and Mike Dunleavy Sr. was reportedly tapped and interviewed by Lakers GM Mitch Kupchak on Wednesday morning. Dunleavy coached 17 seasons in the NBA between 1990 and 2010, coaching four different teams including the Lakers from 1990-92, which included a Finals appearance, and the Clippers from 2003-2010, where he made just one appearance in the postseason. His overall record is 613-716 with seven total playoff appearances.
As the Lakers continue to search for their new sideline leader, does Dunleavy fit the profile for this next period of re-building?
