Reggie Becton is truly going through it in his latest single, “Listenin.” Produced by Ehll Evans, the song offers a smooth bop as the Maryland native depicts his feelings. Becton tries to tell his girl what he needs from her, but he can clearly tell that something is just not quite right.
“I know when I’m soul deep/You hold me closely/Telling me you’d never leave me lonely/But the feeling ain’t the same/And I’m starting to feel a way/It was a while ago,” he sings.
As the song goes on, the PG County singer asks a very important question. In fact, it’s a question that many R&B artists coming up today should ask.
“What’s love if it ain’t toxic?” he asks.
Some of us like things when they’re a bit difficult. Maybe it’s the chase or the challenge that draws us in.
“It just ain’t the same,” he answers.
Reggie Becton and Ehll Evans prove once again to be a dynamic duo in today’s growing music scenes. Check out “Listenin” above and be sure to stay tuned for music from the Maryland native.
