Reggie Becton continues to step forward in the latest era of his evolving artistry. Within the last nine months, the PG County native has fused trap, swing, R&B and much more to create tracks like “Sway” and “Streets” while also teasing songs like “Don Julio.” Not to mention, he’s collaborated with LVRN’s Alex Vaughn and put together his three-city own tour. Through it all, he’s peeled back another layer of his creative vision for the latest stage of his career. This week, he unveiled another visual project that shows him in a new light. Directed by Chris Felix, Reggie Becton’s “Life” video showcases the emerging artist’s dance moves alongside Kendall Cherry. He may have featured a bit of choreography in a few videos in the past, but the “Life” visual stands out in his catalog as it centers entirely around the chemistry between Becton and Cherry.
“Shot this video in two hours before I had to hop on a plane to India! I doubted myself so much while prepping for this but when you have so many geniuses around you… it’s easy [to] PUSH any limitations you place upon yourself,” Becton wrote on Instagram.
Reggie Becton is not only releasing a new video this spring. The DMV native also recently supported Sebastian Mikael on the Phileo Tour. Next week, he’s set to make his debut in London at The Grace. If you couldn’t catch him on the Phileo Tour or you can’t make it to The Grace, the “Life” video is a perfect consolation prize.
