RECAP: LA Clippers Complete Major Comeback For 101-99 Win
The Los Angeles Clippers trailed for the entire game before earning their first lead by way of a Jamal Crawford three-pointer with 1:23 remaining and hanging on for a 101-99 win against the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 4. Blake Griffin had a team-high 25 points and 9 rebounds for the Clippers.
Oklahoma City led by as many as 22 points and started to see their comfortable double-digit lead dwindle in the fourth quarter. The Clippers got off to slow starts in the first (15 points) and third quarter (17) only to respond with a 38-point surge in the final quarter. Darren Collison crucially emerged from the Los Angeles bench with 12 of his 18 points scored in the fourth quarter. Chris Paul became the difference maker on both ends, being assigned Kevin Durant on the defensive end and continuing to make plays for the Clippers offense that struggled to find a rhythm from the three-point line (3-21). Kevin Durant led the Thunder with 40 points but committed 8 turnovers. Russell Westbrook had 27 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 turnovers for Oklahoma City.
Game 5 of this series will be on Tuesday at 9:30 PM EST on TNT.
