RECAP: Dallas Beats San Antonio 109-108 On Buzzer-Beater In Game 3; Mavericks Lead 2-1
The Dallas Mavericks came out on top of an offensive gunslinging against the San Antonio Spurs in Game 3. Both teams delivered a string of big shots and efficient possessions to bring it to a final shot attempt. Vince Carter nailed a three-point buzzer beater on an inbounds play with 1.9 seconds left to give the Mavericks a 2-1 series lead over the Spurs.
Monta Ellis scored 12 of his playoff career-high 29 points in the fourth quarter, which helped the Mavericks score their 32 fourth quarter points to the Spurs’ 34. Dirk Nowitzki finished with 18 points and 7 rebounds for the Mavericks. Tim Duncan had a team-high 22 points for the Spurs.
