Netflix is bringing Black love to the big screen. Next week, the streaming giant will roll out its newest romance film, Really Love, starring Kofi Siriboe and Yootha Wong-Loi-Sing.
“A Black painter and an ambitious law student try to make their romance last while not abandoning their own careers or each other,” the description from Strong Black Lead reads.
“Black love, music, and culture collide in ‘Chocolate City’ as this fiery romantic drama takes shape. Really Love is the Black love story we’ve been waiting for.”
Siriboe and Wong-Loi-Sing are not the only stars in this film. Uzo Aduba, Tristan “Mack” Wilds. Naturi Naughton, Jade Eshete, Blair Underwood and Michael Ealy will also appear in the film, The late Suzanne Douglas also stars in Really Love.
Really Love adds to a great run for the streaming platform. Over the last few weeks, Netflix has rolled out new seasons of All American and Outer Banks along with Beckett starring John David Washington. On August 25, the platform will grow even more crowded as the romance debuts worldwide. Check out the trailer below.
