For years, Mark Phillips, Affiong Harris, Desmond Johnson and the entire team at RDC World have been making fans laugh at skits about anime, movies, music, sports and more. Within the last year, their efforts have seemingly elevated to a new level of visibility. Most notably, Phillips landed a deal to work on a new series with Issa Rae. More recently, the comedic team took home $250,000 at a dodgeball tournament hosted by House of Highlights. Not to mention, RDC World also participated in a celebrity knockout tournament at the 2021 NBA All-Star Weekend in Atlanta, Georgia.
This week, Johnson, Harris and company continued their run of success. First, the crew appeared in “The Jackie” video alongside Bas and J. Cole. Then, the team met up with LeBron James at the Space Jam: A New Legacy premiere. At first sight, James and Phillips joked about RDC World’s classic skit joking about James’ reaction to James Harden joining the Brooklyn Nets.
“I’m 36,” Phillips and James shouted.
Hard work pays off. After years of consistently putting out content, Phillips and his collaborators are seemingly taking the next step in their careers. The sky is the limit and it will be fun to watch. In the meantime, check out the special red carpet premiere moment below.
