Fresh off of his award-winning performance in Bohemian Rhapsody, Rami Malek in talks for his next major role. The Academy Award winner is currently being considered for a role alongside Denzel Washington in a crime thriller called Little Things.
Directed by John Lee Hancock, the film pairs a burned out deputy sheriff with a crack detective as they hunt down a notorious serial killer. Washington has been cast as an older sheriff whose ability to notice smaller details makes him invaluable. However, his tendency to circumvent the rules makes him a liability at times. Opposite of Washington, Malek is being eyed for the role of the detective who is wrestling with his past as he teams up with his new partner.
The film is set to begin shooting this fall. Malek is currently taking a break from Bond 25 as the film has reportedly suspended production following an injury on set. In addition, Malek is shooting the final season of the USA drama, Mr. Robot. Meanwhile, Washington is looking to return to the screen after releasing The Equalizer 2 last year. More details about the cast and release date will be reported as they become available.
