Just a few years ago, it was hard to argue that any group or duo was more successful than Rae Sreummrd. Not only did the duo out of Mississippi work with Juicy J, Nicki Minaj and several other stars, but they also topped the Billboard Chart with “Black Beatles.” Adding on, the duo picked up a BET Award, toured with Childish Gambino and headlined the Broccoli City Festival. Simply put, they were on top of the world. For years later, Slim Jxmmi and Swae Lee are working to reclaim the top spot yet again.
Four years after the release of SR3MM, Rae Sremmurd is seemingly ready to release its fourth studio album. First, the duo shared a cryptic tweet attached to an image of the number four. Now, the Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi have returned with a laid back, tropic visual and single called “Denial.”
“I?seen so many?fairytale loves go bad/I heard?so many say they’ll never love again/I walked away and I never turned back/It’s not the first time, it won’t be the last,” Swae Lee sings.
“Put my pride aside and put some ice on her hand/Spent some time apart, but now we rockin’ again/I know the streets mad, see us in that G-Wag’/Put her in that Hermés or Fendi if she want that,” Slim Jxmmi adds.
