We have arrived here. It took six years and over fifty hours of television, but we’re here. Jason Micic is out of the way and the core characters are left to fight it out. Tommy is on an island of his own, while Tariq has latched on to his mother’s side despite her occasional shortcomings. Meanwhile Tate and Ghost have built up their own feud that is sure to end only one way. Somewhere out in the distance, Dre is scheming to take everyone out despite the fact there is no connect at the moment. Heading into episode ten, here is who I think will hit the chopping black next on Power’s next episode.
1. Councilman Rashad Tate

Isn’t it obvious? Tate is going to a highly publicized, dramatic death. He’s been pushing Ghost time after time and eventually he’s going to pop. Tate can’t even excel in the world of politics, so how does he think he can challenge Ghost in the streets? Ghost’s life would be so much easier if he could get to the Lieutenant Governor’s office without opposition.
2. Tasha St. Patrick

Two weeks ago, Tasha killed Lakeisha in her own home for agreeing to speak to the police about her boyfriend. This week, she was more than willing to speak to the police about her husband. Now, she’s also got Tariq’s incompetent self in on killing Lakeisha. With all of that going on, she doesn’t have a team to run her drugs anymore. The only thing her and Tommy have going for them is that they are on the same page about Ghost needing to die. Other than that, she’s at her lowest.
3. Cooper Saxe

Saxe has put himself in a position to have to play both sides. This same behavior is what cost him his job. He’s already indebted to Ghost and his plan to set-up Ghost is flawed. Who’s to say that Ghost won’t just find the phone and get rid of it? More importantly, it doesn’t have any DNA on it and Ghost is known to create an alibi or two when he’s put in a tough position. To add insult to injury, Dre could also end up killing Saxe if he’s not able to help him out.
4. Tommy Eagan

For the first time this season, Tommy doesn’t have the upper hand on Ghost. Despite being the most disliked person in the city of New York, Ghost has a political team behind him and people on payroll that can set up people like Dre. At the same time, he was able to eliminate Tommy’s team and his connect. Not to mention, Benny’s family is surely going to come after Tommy murdered him in broad daylight. Also, his crew thinks he set them up. There are just too many people that want him dead.
5. Tariq St. Patrick

Previously, it felt hard to believe that Tariq would die given that there is a Power spin-off in the works. However, the death of Lakeisha Grant made me rethink that stance. Tariq appears to be set on selling drugs and following his mother’s path. If that’s the case, he has just as much of a chance to die as anyone else in the drug game.
