Well, if anyone is surprised by this injury. I salute you. The man who has a HISTORY of injuries, dating back to his days with the Clippers. The 25 year old guard has played more than 65 games once in his young career and now, it seems like Gordon will miss an extended period of time for the New Orleans Pelicans.
The following according to Nakia Hogan of NOLA.com/The Times-Picayune:
#Pelicans Eric Gordon will be out indefinitely after an MRI of his left shoulder subluxation also showed a torn labrum.

Former NOLA PF Jason Smith suffered a torn labrum 2 years ago and needed season-ending surgery. Gordon likely would require surgery.

Gordon averages 17.2 points per game for his career, 15.7 per game as a member of the Pelicans and can score in bunches. He doesn’t often shy away from an opportunity to put up some serious points for the team and can also shoot it effectively from 3, averaging 37% shooting from deep for his career.
Not good news at all. Especially not for a 7-5 Pelicans team that is stuck in the leagues best division and even with a record above .500 they’re FIFTH in the division. FIFTH!
It might be time for the young start, Anthony Davis, to take over and become a freak on the court, because with out Gordon, some major scoring ability is lost. As well as another option to relieve Davis.
