It’s Sunday night and the 2020 Golden Globes are underway. Ricky Gervais has delivered his opening dialogue and Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon and Ramy Youssef have already taken the stage. Moving forward, we can expect shots of Hollywood’s biggest stars such as Ellen DeGeneres, Jennifer Lopez and Joe Pesci. While many of the industry’s biggest name came to show out, some couldn’t make it in.
Shortly before the night’s festivities, Octavia Spence revealed she wouldn’t make it out tonight. She wrote on Instagram, “Well, since she won’t be worn to the #Globes tonight because someone (uh me) is congested, coughing and in full blown sweat mode….We thought we’d wish all nominees the best time tonight especially first timers!”

Elsewhere, Christian Bale came down with an illness and was unable to make it in. Other industry figures such as Emma Thompson and Russell Crowe were unable to attend for various reasons.
