
The Recording Academy has confirmed rumors that a Nipsey Hussle tribute is in the works for the 62nd Annual GRAMMY Awards. Roddy Ricch, YG, John Legend, YG, DJ Khaled, Kirk Franklin and Meek Mill will reportedly take part in the tribute.
“An activist, entrepreneur and rapper, Nipsey Hussle had a lasting impact on not just his community, but also the culture at large,” GRAMMY Awards Executive Producer Ken Ehrlich said.

“There is no denying the influence he had and his legacy will be felt for generations to come. We are honored to bring together this amazing group of artists to celebrate Nipsey’s life and pay tribute to his many contributions to music. It’s sure to be a memorable performance,” Ehrlich continued.
In addition to being honored at the award show, Nipsey has been nominated for three awards including Best Rap Song, Best Rap/Sung Performance and Best Rap Performance. Last year, his final album, Victory Lap, was nominated for Best Rap Album.
The 62nd Annual GRAMMY Awards will air on CBS this Sunday at 8 p.m.
