THE PLAYOFFS HAVE BEGUN!
As you read this the Brooklyn Nets are at Toronto facing the Raptors in Game one of a series which will definitely be an end to end series.
Even though the East is tragic compared to the high powered West, there are still some tasty matchups there. Without further ado, lets dive in.
(1) Indiana Pacers vs (8) Atlanta Hawks: The Pacers are unreadable. Beat the Heat and then have a major drop off. How does that work? If I told you that the Pacers would drop down huge and we were still in the midst of Indiana’s win streak. You’d call me mad. But they face a Hawks squad that made the Playoffs without their main man Al Horford but despite the Pacers crazy, inefficient play, I’ve got the Pacers in 5.
(2) Miami Heat vs (7) Charlotte Bobcats: It’s obvious that the Heat are frustrated, you can see it when they talk about their play. But the Playoffs are here and I think that’s the best thing that could’ve possibly happened to them. Charlotte, (despite their record breaking losing years) seem to be moving on the right track, props to Michael Jordan, he stuck to it and got in an Al Jefferson who is playing like a beast. I just because of Jefferson and a little bit of Kemba Walker, I’ll give Charlotte a game. Miami in 5.
(3) Toronto Raptors vs (6) Brooklyn Nets: People have been giving Brooklyn a whole lot of credit for making it this far. But why? At the start of the year everybody had team higher no? I had them at five. Toronto, now they have jumped leaps and bounds, I had them nowhere near the 3 seed, and because if that I have Toronto winning the game that is on now, and winning the series in 6.
(4) Chicago Bulls vs (5) Washington Wizards: This is a very intriguing matchup. A Bulls side that is running on spirit and 100% determination, lead by a Joakim Noah that should be defensive player of the year. Washington have Nene back which is perfect because I don’t see Drew Gooden guarding Noah and doing well, John Wall and Bradley Beal are finally meshing and it’s doing wonders. I love both teams, but I’m going with the underdog. Washington in 7.
