When Mr. Robot debuted back in 2015 few would have surmised that the show would go on to become such a phenomenon. The show quickly became the biggest critical success in the history of the USA Network and managed to legitimatize them in the eyes of the public when it comes to prestige programming. ‘Mr. Robot’ season 1 went on to be nominated for 6 Emmys and managed to win 2, including the best actor award for the show’s star Rami Malek. The shows second season received 3 nominations and we’ll have to wait to see how many of those it takes home when the Emmys air next month.
We’ve attached the official synopsis and trailer for ‘Mr. Robot’ season 3 below.
‘Young, anti-social computer programmer Elliot works as a cybersecurity engineer during the day, but at night he is a vigilante hacker. He is recruited by the mysterious leader of an underground group of hackers to join their organization. Elliot’s task? Help bring down corporate America, including the company he is paid to protect, which presents him with a moral dilemma. Although he works for a corporation, his personal beliefs make it hard to resist the urge to take down the heads of multinational companies that he believes are running — and ruining — the world.’ Via USA
