
One of the most exciting professional prospects in the country, University of Texas big man Mohamed Bamba oozes potential. Now in the midst of March Madness and the end of the college basketball season on the horizon, Bamba has made a decision on whether he will continue his education at Texas or declare for the NBA Draft after one collegiate season.
According to 247 Sports, Bamba will follow his dreams and head to the NBA by declaring for the 2018 NBA Draft. After just one year at Texas, Bamba already has NBA scouts enticed with his incredible abilities and 6’11” frame. Along with Bamba, a number of other big-name prospects have also already declared including standouts Trae Young and DeAndre Ayton.
A Harlem, New York native, Mo Bamba is expected to be selected with a potential top-5 pick and is undoubtedly a high-end lottery pick. In fact, Bamba is in the mix at the very top of the draft pool with names such as Luka Doncic, Ayton, Michael Porter Jr., and Marvin Bagley III.
Bamba was one of the most sought-after players coming out of high school and he has certainly lived up to expectations at Texas. In his solo season at the university, Bamba averaged a double-double with per-game averages of 12.9 points and 10.5 rebounds.
