Mikal Bridges, an expected lottery pick has declared for the 2018 NBA Draft forgoing his senior season. Bridges who was an All-American this year was a breakout star for the national champion Villanova Wildcats. Bridges game grew steadily in his first three years on campus including when he redshirted his true freshman year. This past year he nearly doubled his scoring average from his redshirt sophomore year and was widely considered the second-best player on Villanova behind AP Player of the Year Jalen Brunson . His meteoric rise this past year helped him skyrocket up draft boards, landing him in the top ten on many draft boards.
Few players in college basketball have improved as much as Mikal Bridges each year. Averaged 6.4 points per game and shot 29.9% from 3 as a freshman. Now a potential top-10 pick. High floor prospect with his length, shooting, defense, and intangibles.

Bridges game should translate very well in today’s pace and space game. With his length on his 6’7 frame Bridges should be an elite 3-and-D wing and should comfortably slide in on any team who drafts him. He may not be a star but he has the chance to be an elite role player. Expect him to make an early impact because of his seamless ability to fill his role.
