Following the success of Pig, Michael Sarnoski has landed his next directing gig. Deadline has reported that Sarnoski has been tapped to lead the next A Quiet Place film from Paramount. Not much is known about the plot of the film, but John Krasinski will be involved in its development. With that said, Krasinski and Emily Blunt will not appear on screen.
Paramount Pictures will move forward with the third piece of the A Quiet Place franchise after releasing the second installment in March 2020. Release days before the COVID-19 pandemic took hold of American society, A Quiet Place II managed to pull in nearly $300 million.
Sarnoski captured his latest directing gig three months after Jeff Nichols left his post. Instead of leading the next A Quiet Place film, he will develop an untitled science fiction project for Paramount Pictures. Much like the next A Quiet Place film, not much is known about the plot or cast. The two films differ in their projected release date. The third A Quiet Place film will likely be released in March 2023, but there is no scheduled release date for Nichols’ project.
