If there’s anyone poised to have a huge run in 2019, it’s New York’s own, Melii. The New York native started to garner big looks in 2018 with a Rihanna co-sign on her song “Icey”. From there, the New York rapper kept things moving with a feature on Meek Mill’s latest album and a spotlight on the Joe Budden Podcast. As 2019 moves into full force, the rising emcee is definitely looking to go from rising act to well known star. The first step in that transition is her latest record, “HML”.
The new record from Melii comes with a feature from A Boogie who just dropped his latest project in December. On the new record, the two trade verses spending the night with that one special person. On the new record, Melii says, “Baby, won’t you come on by/ No surprise, you know I wanna change your life/ Baby, I just need one night/ Get a taste of paradise.” In addition to dropping the record, Melii caught up with Zane Lowe of Beats One Radio for a brief interview. During the interview, Melii told Lowe that she is nearly done with her latest project, Phases. Melii told Lowe, “It’s just that I’m a perfectionist. Like, I always, once I take a step back, I let music live, you know, and then I listen to it and I’m like, ‘No, this is missing.” While she’s finishing up the project, enjoy her new single, “HML”.
