Megan Thee Stallion and Cardi B are the latest additions to the lineup of performers set to take the stage at the Prudential Center on Tuesday, September 12 during the 2023 Video Music Awards. The Houston Hottie and New York native will join a star-studded lineup of performers that includes Anitta, Diddy, Doja Cat, Olivia Rodrigo, Lil’ Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Future, A Boogie, Metro Boomin’ and several others.
Cardi and Megan Thee Stallion’s decision to perform at the 2023 Video Music Awards arrives just a few days after they released their new single and video, “Bongos.” Following the success of “W.A.P,” the DJ SwanQo, Breyan Isaac and We Good-produced track is a lively, eccentric and raunchy anthem that brings a lot of energy as Cardi B eases toward the release of her yet-to-be-titled sophomore album.
As for Megan Thee Stallion, “Bongos” serves as her first featured verse of the year. Charting on the Billboard Hot 100 each of the last three years, the Cardi B-led track will likely extend her charting streak to four. Much like Cardi’s fans, supporters of the Houston native are eagerly anticipating the release of her next project. However, it is unlikely that it will arrive before the end of the year.
