We’re fully into a new year and nothing has changed for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. At the beginning of the year, MCU rolled out a new initiative to provide free showings of Black Panther during Black History Month. Not too long afterwards, Marvel rolled out its latest film, Captain Marvel, which has performed incredibly well at the box office. More importantly, the film further proves the point that superhero films led by women can perform just as well as those led by men. With those two films in the rear view, Marvel is gearing up for its biggest release yet, Avengers: Endgame.
Avengers: Endgame has made a lot of noise for a film that hasn’t been released yet. First, Marvel released a trailer for the film ahead of the holiday season. Then, reports surfaced that the new film would have a relatively long run time. Most recently, the film was shown to shareholders and details of the film’s post credits scene were leaked on Twitter. Now, Marvel is a month away from the film’s release and they’ve decided to go all in.
Marvel has released the second trailer for Avengers: Endgame. In the new trailer, Tony Stark opens up with a continuation of his monologue from the first trailer. Stark says, “I know I said no more surprises, but I was really hoping to pull off one last one.” Throughout the trailer, we see the disappearance of a number of our favorite heroes. Towards the end, we also get to see the return of Ant-Man who was absent in the last Avengers film. Closing out the trailer, we see members of the Avengers all suited up and prepared for one final battle.
Watch the full trailer above and prepare for the movie’s release in late April.
