Everyone may not be able to grab a ticket to ABC’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve to see Tinashe or CNN’s New Year’s Eve special with 50 Cent. However, those in the nation’s capital will have an opportunity to ring in the new year with Mariah The Scientist.
On December 31, 2024, Mariah The Scientist will headline Love T.K.O. at The Howard. Near U Street and the historic Howard University, DJ Camo and Kidd Fresh will provide the sounds as Mariah The Scientist performs a selection of fan favorites.
“Named after the famous Teddy Pendergrass song ‘Love T.K.O.,’ this party evokes the heart and soul of R&B, with DJs mixing from slow jams to upbeat tracks from past, present and future R&B icons. Celebrate New Year’s Eve with classic and contemporary R&B music, blending soulful tunes with smooth grooves to dance the night away,” a statement from A1 Events and Broccoli City reads.
Tickets for the New Year’s Eve celebration are available via TicketWeb. Doors will open at 9 p.m. and the show is set to kickoff at 10 p.m. EST.
