Two-time Super Bowl Champion Malcolm Jenkins has announced that he will retire from the National Football League after 13 seasons.
“I’m excited to announce that after 13 seasons that I’m retiring from the game of football,” he told Ryan Clark during a recent episode of The Pivot.
During his playing days, Jenkins earned three appearances in the NFL’s Pro Bowl and three NFL All-Pro selections. Not to mention, he earned All-Big Ten honors and the Jim Thorpe Award as a standout defensive back at The Ohio State University. His life’s work, both at the collegiate level and professional level, culminated with not one, but two Super Bowl titles. He helped the New Orleans Saints win their first title in 2010 with Drew Brees leading the way and he helped the Philadelphia Eagles win Super Bowl LII against the New England Patriots.
In addition to his playing career, Jenkins co-founded the Players Coalition, an organization that works with athletes to fight for racial equality. He also received the NFLPA’s Byron Whizzer White Award in 2017.
Beyond his success on the field, he is a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. and the founder of the Malcolm Jenkins Foundation. Jenkins is also the father of two children.
