Initial first-week sales projections for Logic’s final album, No Pressure, were initially between 75,000 and 85,000 units. In just a few days, it appears that those numbers will jump significantly. Hits Daily Double is now reporting that the Maryland artist’s final album will move anywhere between 150,000 and 170,000 units this week. What’s even more impressive about this feat is that he’s now projected to do upwards of 100,000 units in pure album sales.
If these numbers hold true, it would a remarkable increase from his last studio album, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. The 2019 project debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart with just 80,000 units sold. However, these numbers aren’t entirely new to the retired emcee. In 2018, his album, Young Sinatra IV, sold 167,000 units during its first week. His 2017 project, Everybody, also sold an impressive 247,000 units during its first week.
Despite the spike in album sales, Logic will still fall short of the number one spot. In under 24 hours, Taylor Swift’s Folklore move more than a million copies worldwide. In the United States, her latest project is expected to sell more than 650,000 units this week. If these numbers hold, she will have the best first week performance of any artist this year. With Rihanna, Drake, J. Cole and others rumored to have projects coming this year, it will be interested to see if she can hold the top spot through December. Not to mention, Beyonce has a visual album coming this Friday.
