For every NBA player, the summer is a key part of the year even though most are out of competitive, meaningful basketball. Obviously, being a professional basketball player is a year-round commitment and players need to utilize the offseason to get in some extra summer work and take their game to the next level ahead of the upcoming campaign. This certainly remains true for star Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard who puts in work in the gym but he also has another craft he tries to perfect over the summer: making music.
Lillard has not only been nearly unstoppable on the court, but his name is beginning to gain more and more traction in the rap industry. It’s no secret that Lillard has a passion for rap as he drops frequent freestyles and even released his first album, ‘The Letter O’ last year, all under the stage name Dame D.O.L.L.A. The uber-talented Damian Lillard is one of few NBA players who has also endured success in the music world as hip-hop and sports continue to become more and more intertwined.
Now with the NBA season still over a month away, Dame D.O.L.L.A. is back in the studio spitting fire as he recently dropped a new track. Listen to Lillard’s new single ‘No Worries’ (featuring Danny From Sobrante & Brookfield Duece) below via his Soundcloud:
