Lil Kim receives the 2019 BET Hip Hop award’s “I Am Hip-Hop” honor and takes the stage performing a medley of her classic songs.
With Musiq Soulchild, Junior M.A.F.I.A., and OT Genasis joining her on stage, Lil Kim gives an energetic performance of her old hits and newer efforts. While accepting her “I Am Hip-Hop” honor, Lil Kim explains how she always felt slighted from BET, having never received an award from the platform.
With assurance from her Godmother, Lil Kim persisted to create a landmark career in rap music. In a sparkly hoodie and pant combo, Lil Kim turned up the BET Hip Hop awards audience with her familiar hits.
In true homage to her hometown Brooklyn, Lil Kim delivered a memorable show. She ran down Lighters Up, Found You with OT Genasis and, Crush On You with Junior M.A.F.I.A. among other songs. The veteran rapper plans to drop her album “9” on October 11.
