McCoy likely didn’t retire sooner because he was waiting to see if he could get one more shot in the NFL. It became apparent that it wasn’t likely to happen. He decided to return to the franchise that he began his career at and spent most of his career at, the Philadelphia Eagles. LeSean McCoy will go down as a legendary running back and one of the best players in the 2010s.
