It’s not Sunday, but service is about to start. Lecrae and Zaytoven have teamed up in one of the most interesting pairings in rap in a long time. Lecrae began his career being known as a “Christian rapper” before being known more for his ability to rap. On the other hand, Zaytoven got his start by working with trap legends like Gucci Mane, OJ Da Juiceman and Jeezy. Today, the two have come together to release their joint album, Let The Trap Say Amen.
The duo’s thirteen track project is produced by Zaytoven and features tracks like “Get Back Right”, “Holy Water” and “Only God Can Judge Me”. The album itself also features guest appearances from Verse Simmonds, Waka Flocka Flame, K-So, 24hrs, ShySpeaks and nobigdyl.
When discussing the album, Lecrae said, “We just had this chemistry from the jump. He actually works a lot like I do. We tend to make song after song. But neither of us like to follow any kind of a script; it’s more of a feeling. That’s how the south moves as a whole, and we wanted to bring that into the music in every way.”
