Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry removed himself from consideration to play in the 2016 Rio De Janeiro Olympics today. Now, San Antonio Spurs power forward LaMarcus Aldridge has done the same thing, per ESPN’s Marc Stein:
ESPN sources say Spurs forward LaMarcus Aldridge, due to a recent finger/hand injury, has also removed himself from Olympic consideration.

The United States will be missing a number of players in this years Olympics, notes Stein:
Health has erased 6 of 31 names from Team USA's roster: Steph Curry; LaMarcus Aldridge; Chris Paul; Blake Griffin; Anthony Davis; John Wall

This is getting rough for the US. Aldridge, Davis, and Blake Griffin are three of the best power forwards in the NBA, and all three will miss the Olympics. Draymond Green, who has said that he still wants to play, is now a shoo-in, and will likely be the starting power forward for Team USA.
The point guard spot is equally hurting, now missing Curry, Paul, and Wall. However, point guard is by far the deepest position in the NBA, so there are more capable replacement. Russell Westbrook, Kyle Lowry, Damian Lillard, and Kyrie Irving are among potentially available options.
