Two-time NBA champion Lamar Odom collapsed at a nightclub early Sunday morning, reported TMZ Sports. TMZ has video of Odom following the fall.
TMZ says that the person who shot the video said that Odom was drinking for “several hours” leading up to the incident.
Odom’s representative told TMZ that Odom is “doing great” and that the collapse was caused by dehydration; Odom had gone through an “intense workout earlier in the day without the necessary fluids in his system.”
In October of 2015, Odom was found unconscious in Nevada in critical condition, with “virtually every drug imaginable” in his system.
He went into a coma and was placed on life support before he awoke a few days later.
A brain scan revealed that Odom had suffered 12 strokes. He was reportedly unable to recognize family and close friends.
There doesn’t appear to be any evidence that this incident is in any way related to his past issues.
Odom, 6-foot-10, played in the NBA for 14 years, spending time with the Los Angeles Clippers, Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat and Dallas Mavericks.
Odom won his two championships with the Lakers and also won a Sixth Man of the Year award.
