Coming off a career year with the Los Angeles Lakers, they return the favour by giving Wesley Johnson a one year extension per Yahoo! Sports.
Johnson set career highs when he averaged 9.1 points and 4.4 rebounds while playing in a team-high 79 games last season, including 62 starts. The 6-foot-7 Johnson also shot a career-best 42.5 percent from the field in his first season with Los Angeles.
With the Lakers packed in the forward position I wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up being a backup for Kobe playing the large Shooting Guard position and occasionally playing in his natural Small Forward position.
