It would be truly hard to find someone that is delivering guest verses quite like 21 Savage right now. From his appearance on Nardo Wick’s “Who Want Smoke?” remix to his guest spot on “Outstanding” with Rick Ross, the Atlanta native has been the consistent guest star in hip-hop. This Friday, he continued his run with an appearance on “Don’t Play That” with the late King Von.
“Don’t Play That” stands out as one of King Von’s best posthumous releases. Powered by Kid Hazel’s production, the track allows King Von’s energetic flows to balance out 21 Savage’s more even keeled delivery. Together, they deliver the best of both worlds.
“I heard it was good through the grapevine/I heard that you got a great mind/I don’t think that we need to waste time,” King Von raps.
“I take off my shirt when I’m hot/I’m quick to spray down your block /Can’t stop ’cause twelve too hot.”
At this time, it’s unclear if there will be posthumous King Von album release, but it’s always great to hear what was left in the vault before his untimely passing. Check out “Don’t Play That” below.
