
Kevin Durant will need more time to recover from his hamstring injury and will miss the All-Star break festivities due to the extended period of recovery time, the Brooklyn Nets informed. Durant was named one of the captains of the All-Star Game after he led on voting in the Eastern Conference.

With Durant being out, his spot will be taken by Domantas Sabonis from the Indiana Pacers. The forward joins Devin Booker as the two replacement players in this year’s All-Star Game.

The Pacers currently hold the fourth place in the East with a 15-15 record and Sabonis has contributed to the team with 21.5 points per game, 11.7 rebounds per game, and 5.7 assists per game in 36.5minutes per game.
As for Durant starting spot, Boston Celtics’ forward Jayson Tatum will move from the reserve players to the starting pool for the All-Star draft.
