Former Arizona Wildcats point guard Kerr Kriisa has announced that he will transfer to the West Virginia Mountaineers for next season. The international prospect played two full seasons and eight additional games with the Wildcats before entering the transfer portal. While he considered a few schools he narrowed his choices down and ultimately landed on the West Virginia Mountaineers. His NIL deal with the Mountaineers is rumored to be very lucrative. While he was considered a top international prospect coming into college, he never quite caught on like he was expected to with the Wildcats.

This past season as a junior with the Arizona Wildcats, Kerr Kriisa averaged 9.9 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 5.1 assists per game. He paired those numbers with a field goal percentage of 37.2 percent and a three-point percentage of 36.6 percent. Head Coach Bob Huggins will look to maximize the talent that Kriisa has shown flashes of while playing college basketball. Next season the Mountaineers will look to compete harder in the Big 12 and make the 2024 NCAA Tournament. It will be interesting to see what the team looks like next season with Kriisa likely serving as the primary point guard for the program.
