Former Michigan State basketball player and current NBA D-League All-Star, Keith Appling, was arrested at a strip club for bringing a loaded weapon into the club.

Sources confirm 24-year-old Keith Appling was arrested over the weekend, after an incident stemming from a strip club in Dearborn. Police are not releasing any details but our sources say Appling was inside the Pantheon Club with a loaded large assault rifle, similar to an AK-47. The former MSU basketball standout was arrested Sunday night. It is not clear what Appling was allegedly planning to do with the weapon.
Appling has played in the NBA, while his career has mainly been in the NBA D-League. He was called-up by the Orlando Magic earlier this season, in which he averaged 1.2 points and 0.2 assists in 5 games for Orlando. In the D-League, he has career averages of 14.6 points and 4.5 assists per game.
This is an unfortunate situation for Appling, as he came closer and closer to landing a full-time job in the NBA. Only being 24 years old, hopefully this won’t be a major detriment to his career.
