Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, and Ty Dolla $ign have formally delayed the release of their joint album, Vultures, until February 9, 2024. The collaborative LP was originally scheduled to be released on December 15, 2023, but was pushed back to January 12 and then pushed back yet again to January 19 before earning its latest release date.
Ye is no stranger to album delays. In recent years, he’s delayed the release of Donda and made changes to 2016’s The Life of Pablo several times after its release. Not to mention, he cut the Saint Pablo Tour short by 21 shows before being admitted for psychiatric observation at UCLA Medical Center.
As for Ty Dolla $ign, this collaborative effort will serve as his third joint LP in nearly six years. Previously, he teamed up with Jeremih to release MihTy in 2018 before joining forces with to release Cheers to the Best Memories in 2021. Since then, he’s made appearances on H.E.R’s Back Of My Mind, Tyler, The Creator’s Call Me If You Get Lost and Ye’s Donda. All three collaborations earned nominations at the 64th GRAMMY Awards in 2022.
