Hope y’all are paying attention because Harlem’s own Jus Smith aka Tha G5 is preparing to take off. Well then again you can say land due to the fact he’s delivered some new music. Looking to keep his SmithStyle series going, until he’s ready to deliver that next original record which will follow with the long awaited project, he takes to a song from fellow Harlem native for his new freestyle.
The first SmithStyle was to ‘You, Me, Him, Her‘ a classic well in its rights. So, it only made sense to take it back to Harlem and use a classic from Cam’ron’s catalog with ‘That’s Me’. If you don’t know ‘That’s Me’ is off Killa’s ‘SDE’ album.
Jus has been well documented throughout his music for representing Harlem, Lex Ave specifically, so to kick off this freestyle he let’s it be known who this new record is for. For what it’s worth listening to this new freestyle made me think back to the acronym Jus turned his last name into ‘Styling Major In The Hood’. I say that to say this, it was in true Harlem fashion, pun intended, he found a way to stunt. Especially at the end. I mean it is only appropriate considering the title of the record, right?
Oh and there is a basketball reference, I thought he was going to let me down but he didn’t.
“When you balling hard n****s a try to flagrant foul ya… something like Draymond but f**k it n***a game on…”
If we going based off of stats, Jus is 2 for 2 at the line with his SmithStyle series. There should be more to follow so press play below and enjoy, I could easily continue to point out some noteworthy quotable lines but I’ll let you guys do that.
