
Jurnee Smollett, Chris Hemsworth and Miles Teller are set to star in the Joseph Kosinski directed Netflix film, Spiderhead. The film is an adaptation of George Saunders’ shorty story. This time around, Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick will write the script.
The film centers around a futuristic prison facility run by medical visionary. Inmates can volunteer as medical subjects in hopes of receiving shorter sentences. In Spiderhead, two inmates volunteer as test patients of emotion altering drug that drives people to confront their past.
Behind the scenes, Hemsworth, Eric Newman, Oren Katzeff, Geneva Wasserman, Tommy Harper and Jeremy Steckler will produce the film. Reese and Wernick will also hold produce responsibilities.
Netflix has not offered any further details regarding the film’s release.
