Pittsburgh Steelers Wide Receiver Juju Smith-Schuster is spreading holiday cheer on and off the field. Just in time for Christmas, the star receiver paid off $12,500 in layaway balances for residents at a local department store in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Partnering with Pay Away The Layaway, the former USC Trojan was able to help nearly 90 families with a few holiday loans.
“This has been an especially difficult year for so many families. Our mission at Pay Away The Layaway is to inspire hope and spread kindness, so what better way to kick off the holiday season than by surprising these families with the gifts they had on layaway for their kids?” Pay Away The Layaway Founder Lee Karchawer said.
“Every child deserves to smile on Christmas.”
Having helped out the Pittsburgh community off the field, he will now turn his attention to the field. The Steelers will look to secure the AFC North with wins against the Cleveland Browns and Indianapolis Colts to end the season.
